Helen Marie Dionne, 89, of Pana passed away Monday, February 8, 2021 in Life’s Journey, Taylorville. She was born November 13, 1931 in Pana, daughter of the late Ray S. & Juanita E. (Bland) Tetley. Helen married William G. “Wimp” Dionne on September 11, 1950 in Osceola, Arkansas and he preceded her in death on March 19, 1994.
Helen lived in the Pana area her entire life and had worked for People’s Bank & Trust in Pana from June 1969 until her retirement in June 1998. She enjoyed bowling and watching her grandchildren, whom she loved more than anything.
She is survived by her children: William Dionne, Michael Dionne, Steve (Janet) Dionne, David (Christina) Dionne, Linda (Robert) Crawford and Brenda (Lloyd) Washburn, all of Pana, IL; 11 grandchildren & 12 great grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by her brother, Everett William Tetley.
A graveside service will be held on Friday, February 12, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. in Rosemond Grove Cemetery, Rosamond with Lloyd Washburn officiating.
Memorials in Helen’s honor may be made to the Pana Community Hospital Foundation and will be accepted by McCracken-Dean Funeral Home who is assisting the family.
