He was born in Guilford County on June 5th, 1946 to the late Pritchard and Frances Minor Champion. A lifelong native of Rockingham County he was a retiree of Cone Mills. Buck was a well rounded person. He loved anything outdoors, spending time with his family and especially his gamecocks.
He was predeceased by his son, Vance Weaver Champion and his daughter, Patty Pearman
