Carolina, to the late General and Clyde Barnes. Lucy attended Calvin Level School in Wilson, North Carolina. After completing her education, Lucy met and married the late Frank Allen. Lucy was employed at The Wilson County Sanitarium as a Nurse for many of years.
In 1962,Lucy relocated to New York City and was employed at The Lexington Hotel until retirement.
Lucy was a faithful member at The St. Mary's Church Of Christ Disciples. Lucy served on The Nurse's Unit for many years.
Lucy was a member of The Rosetta Gaston Senior Center and served on The Fund Raising Committee. Lucy served in The Dinning Room and worked in other Capacities wherever needed.
Lucy was a loving, kind and devoted sister, aunt and friend. Lucy loved children and made numerous friends wherever she went. Lucy will be sincerely missed by all who loved and knew her.

Left to cherish Lucy's loving memories are four brothers: DeArthur Barnes and Bishop Wiley Barnes, both of Baltimore,MD. Bobby Barnes of Richmond,VA. and Billy Barnes of Brooklyn NY.; four sisters: Ruth Barnes Boykin Smith of Baltimore,MD.; Odessa Boykin and Mildred Miller both of Brooklyn, New York; Linda Barnes of Richmond,VA. Standing close beside are three brothers-in-law and three sisters-in-law; Beneath their wings are seventeen nephews, twenty-one nieces, great and great-great nephews and nieces and a host of other relatives and friends.
