Mr. Jack. C. DeSha, Sr., 87, of the Resaca community died early Saturday, July 27, 1996, at his home, following several years of illness.
He ws born Nov. 17, 1908, in Chattanooga, Tenn., son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Ross DeSha. He was a Gordon County resident since 1951 and attended Hall Memorial Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife, Annie D. DeSha of Resaca; a son, Jack C. DeSha, Jr. of Resaca; two daughters, Doris Ann Savage of Washington D.C. and Mary Sue Wallace of Sugar Valley; 12 grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren.
Funeral was Monday, July 29, at the chapel of Thomas Funeral Home, with the Rev. Howard Duvall officiating.
Burial was in Fairview Cemetery.
