Mrs. Avanelle Starry died Monday, May 14, at 2:50 p.m. at her home in White Township, Indiana R.D. Born February 19, 1902, in Harmony, Jefferson County, a daughter of James and Annie Fairbanks, she had been a resident of this community for the past 40 years. She is survived by her husband, Joseph Starry, one son, Glenn Starry, of Indiana; two daughters, Mrs. John Lambing of Ford City, Mrs. Samuel Bush, Indiana; two brothers, Bud Fairbanks, Mooween, Ray Fairbanks, Vintondale, one sister Mrs. Orville Colgrove, Clyde, N.Y., and three grandchildren. She was a member of the Methodist Church and of the Mothers' of Democracy. Friends are being received at the Bell Funeral Home, 999 Wayne avenue, where services will be conducted on Thursday, May 17, at 2:00 p.m. by the Rev. Thomas Culp. Interment will be in Oakland cemetery.
