The co-burial service of the cremated remains of Judy Schumacher-Lamke, age 71, of Kissimmee, FL, and formerly of Huron, who died August 22, 2013, and the cremated remains of her brother, John Schumacher, age 70, of Huron, who died February 21, 2011, will be held jointly at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, October 2, at St. Martin Cemetery in Huron. There will be no visitation.

John was born December 12, 1939, in Huron, to Clarence and Louise (Buchanan) Schumacher. He graduated from Huron High School in 1958 and attended the University of South Dakota.
John's passion was inventing, and he had patented many of his inventions. John was also the proprietor of John B's Tavern in Huron from 1966-1970.
He had 5 children, Lori (Scott) Olson of Huron, Kyle (Al) Stoner of Blackhawk, John Buchanan "Bucky" (Cindy) of Sioux Falls, Abby (Joe) Parlett of Vermillion, and Jason (Sandy) of Sioux Falls; 14 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren; Mary Ann (Peter) Madel of Waseca, MN, Judy Lamke of Kissimmee, FL (died August 22, 2013), and Patsy (Phil) Ehret of Stuart, FL; and by a niece and many nephews.
John was preceded in death by his parents.
