Rites For Mrs. Jesse Johnson
Are Held In Idalou Monday

Funeral services for Mrs. Jesse Johnson, 73, of Idalou, who died at her home late Sunday night after a lengthy illness, were conducted Monday afternoon at Idalou Church of Christ, with Rev. H. G. Gantz, pastor of the Lubbock First Christian church, officiating.

Rix Funeral home directed burial in Idalou cemetery.

Pallbearers were Jack, Charles, Clarence, and Arthur Mitchell and Jess, Lee and Hirk Roberts, all grandsons.

Mrs. Johnson had 34 grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.

Mrs. Johnson is survived by her husband; two sons, C. W. and H. W. Johnson of Lubbock; seven daughters, Mrs. S. L. Johnson of Memphis, Mrs. Nora Hodge and Mrs. O. R. Billings of Lubbock, Mrs. C. H. Mitchell of Idalou; Mrs. C. J. Smith of Paris; Mrs. Lee Martin of Chapter, Calif. and Mrs. Ethel Johnson of Hot Springs, N. M.
