Maggie was the daughter of Hiram and Jane (Moore Sexton. After her death, it appears as though her children were raised by her sister, Crissie, as they are listed as Crissie's "daughters" in her obituary (Crissie's). The other kids listed as daughters belong to her sister, Ellen, who died in 1924.
NEW LONDON Ohio- Crissie Hughes, 104, formerly of Laurel Street, Willard, died Wednesday at IHS in New London. She was born Dec. 12, 1896 in Floyd County, Ky., to Hiram and Jane (Moore) Sexton. She was a member of Little Rececca Old Regular Baptist Church. She is survived by a sister, Lillian Diamond of Willard; daughters, Francis Miller of Plymouth, Dorothy Hall of Willard and Agnes Stephens of Lima; and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Lee Hughes; and daughters, Clara Reed and Crissie Moore.
Additional info is that Maggie died shortly after childbirth. We do not know what happened to the baby or if it survived. From a great grand child.
