John Lewis Harrison
78, of Cynthiana, KY., died Wednesday, September 4, 2013, at Harrison Memorial Hospital.
He was born April 29, 1935 in Harrison County, KY., a son of the late Philip W. And Vannie Lou Magee Harrison.
John was the loving husband of 56 years to Trudie Fryman Harrison, he was a member of the Connersville Christian Church, Cynthiana Elks Lodge #438 and the Cynthiana Country Club.
During his lifetime he worked in the finance industry, and was a car salesman. John was an avid sports fan, basketball official, loved hunting, fishing, playing golf and was a loving and caring uncle and enjoyed the time spent with his family.
He was preceded in death by a brother Philip W. Harrison, and brother in laws Donald C. Fryman, Eddie V. Fryman, Jimmie N. Fryman and Paul W. Fryman.
Survivors other than his wife are a brother Thomas Burwell (Sandy) Harrison of Viera, FL, a niece Liska Harrison of Cynthiana, great nephew Daniel Harrison, brother and sister in laws Nettie L. Perrin, Jane Ann (Jerry) Jenkins, Johnnie Mack (Linda Sue) Fryman, Lottie Frances (Tommy) Hamm all of Cynthiana and Ruby L. Fryman of Memphis, TN.
Funeral services will be 11:00 AM Saturday, September 7, 2013 at the Drake-Whaley-McCarty Funeral Home, officiated by Rev. Clifford Neat and Rev. Warren French. Burial will follow the service in the Battle Grove Cemetery.
Friends may call from 5-8 PM Friday at the Drake-Whaley-McCarty Funeral Home.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Connersville Christian Church Building Fund.
Pallbearers: Timothy Hamm, Phillip Sexton, Jimmie N. Fryman, Jr., Paul Britt Fryman, Lyle Fryman, Roger Perrin, Dwayne and Mark Jenkins.
Honorary Pallbearers: Dr. Frank McKemie, Dr. George Frazier, Dr. Stephen Besson, nephews and great nephews.
