Lennie was 14 when he died. He had major health problems and/or possible birth defects but we never talked about them. (I learned later that he'd had polio and his lungs were quite weak.) He was a very nice person and seemed to me very intelligent. His biggest interest, as I recall, was geology. He was active in Brookhaven youth activities. I always had the feeling that he knew he was very temporary.

LEONARD T. CLARK, 14, of Beaverdam Road, Brookhaven, died February 19 at Brookhaven Memorial Hospital, East Patchogue.
He is survived by his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Jerome Clark of Brookhaven; sisters Louise H. Clark, Alice M. Clark and Margaret E. Clark, all of Brookhaven; brothers, William F. Clark and Jerome O. Clark, both of Brookhaven; grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Otto H. Thomas of Sayville, and Mr. and Mrs. Leonard K. Clark, St. Petersburg, Fla.
Funeral services were held at 1 p.m. Saturday at the Pettit Funeral home, Patchogue, with the Rev. Richard Gray, rector of St. James Episcopal church, Brookhaven, officiating. Interment followed at Oaklawn cemetery, Brookhaven.
