Mrs. Lizzie V. Tawes, widow of the late George Tawes, died at her home in this city, yesterday morning after an illness of several weeks. She had been in failing health for some time, and was 64 years of age. Mrs. Tawes was a kind, christian lady, loved and respected by all of her acquaintances.
Mrs. Tawes is survived by six children, four sons and two daughters, who are: Messrs. I. George., R. R., John W., E. R. Tawes, Mrs. Lizzie V. Pettitt and Mrs. Althia B. Carey, all of Crisfield.
Funeral services will be held tomorrow afternoon at the First Baptist Church, Rev. H. S. Kidd, officiating.
Interment will be made in the Crisfield Cemetery.
