Mrs. Peterson died Wednesday at St. Luke's Hospital.
She was born Dec. 2, 1891 at Clyde, Iowa, and at age 16 came to South Dakota with her parents, settling in McPherson County. On Aug. 16, 1910, she was married to Grant Murray. Mr. Murray died in 1918 and on Oct. 17, 1923 she was married to Peter Peterson. Mr. Peterson preceded her in death.
Survivors include five sons, Lloyd Murray, Colorado Springs, Colo.; Orrin Murray, Delhi, La.; Alfred Murray, Taylor, S.C.; Orville Peterson, Powell, Wyo.; and David Peterson, Powell, Wyo.; two daughters by her first marriage, Mrs. Ethel Backous, Duluth, Minn. and Mrs. Agnes Hopman, Oregon City, Ore.; two daughters by her second marriage, Mrs. Lucille Van Hunnik, Oakes, N.D. and Evelyn Peterson, Aberdeen; and two brothers, Walter, living in Washington and Sam living in Iowa; 30 grandchildren and 23 great grandchildren.
One son, one sister and six brothers preceded her in death.
Friends may call at the Johnson Funeral Home Friday evening.
The family would prefer memorials.

Services for Mrs. Peter (Ettna) Peterson, 78, 1215 3rd Ave. S.E., were held Saturday at Peace Lutheran Church in Hecla with Pastor T. Grassinger of Columbia officiating.
Burial was in the Veblen cemetery.
Mrs. Peterson died Wednesday at St. Luke's Hospital.
Pallbearers were Walter Karlen, William Stolle, Donald Stolle, James Morrison, John Siefkes and Harold Nelson.
Organist was Reva Herther and vocalist were Mr. and Mrs. Leonard Herther.
The C.W. Johnson Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
