Rev. John Lathrop came to America on ship “Griffin” Sept. 18, 1634. Built Church at Sertuage, (sic Scituate), Mass. which was still standing about 1950. Bessie's grandfather born June 20, 1824 was 11th generation.
A native of Greenfield twp., Erie county, she was born May 21, 1893, daughter of George Prindle and Viola Frances Lathrop. She spent the greater part of her life in the Erie, Pennsylvania area.
She married Clyde S. Henderson on June 26, 1912. They had five children together. She and her sister, Tillie, married Henderson brothers.
Bessie was a very talented seamstress and crocheter. Bessie was very much loved by all who knew her, and remembered as being very sweet.
