Myra Chase was the first wife of Nelson Chase (who was better known as "Nulan" in his later years). They had a son, Charles and a daughter Mary. Two years after Mary's birth, Myra died of Dropsy of the Bowel and was buried in Afton Minnesota's Evergreen Community Cemetery. It was at this time Nelson Chase closed his shoe shop in Afton and moved to Hastings, Minnesota. When Nulan died in 1898 his second wife, Susan, had Myra brought from Afton's Evergreen Cemetery to Hastings, creating a family plot for the Chase's.
