Mrs. Theo (Rowell) Hickey

Age 70, of 302 W. Williams St., Corunna died Monday, Nov 30, 1992, at Memorial Healthcare Center, Owosso.

Mrs. Hickey was a homemaker.

Memorial services will be held at the Corunna United Methodist Church on Saturday, 11 a.m. The Rev. Donald P. Haskell will officiate with burial in Hillcrest Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at the Nelson-House Funeral Homes, Knapp & Smith Chapel, Owosso Friday 1 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 9 p.m.

Mrs. Hickey was born in Bennington Township on Feb. 19, 1922, the daughter of Charles and Emma (Hayes) Rowell. She married Lee "Bob" Hickey in Owosso on July 24, 1943. He died May 6, 1992.

Mrs. Hickey was an active member of the Corunna United Methodist Church, member and past president of Corunna United Methodist Women, past trustee of the church, March of Dimes volunteer, volunteer for Corunna Area Ambulance, tutor for Shiawassee Adult Literacy Association, lunch room monitor for Corunna Schools, voting poll attendant and a volunteer at Shiawassee Council on Aging to help senior citizens with their tax preparation.

Survivors include: four sons, Robert L. of Phoenix, Ariz., Ronald E. of Jackson, Roger A. of Rathdrum, Ind., Bruce W. of Palm Beach Gardens, Fla.; two daughters, Mrs. Michael (Susanne Marie) Tippie of Lapeer, Mrs. Curtis (Janet Kay) Berdan of Sterling Heights; nine grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; two brothers and their wives, Victor M. And Beth Rowell of Spring Lake and Lauren and Sue Rowell of Lena, Wis.

Mrs. Hickey was predeceased by her husband, Bob, a sister, Avon Farrow and her parents.

Memorials are suggested to the Corunna United Methodist Church or American Cancer Society.
