Roy E. Breighner Jr., of York Springs, entered into eternal slumber July 22.

He was a son of the late Roy and Dessie Poole Breighner.

Mr. Breighner, an electrician by trade, was employed by Olmstead Air Force Base until its closing and retired from Fruehauf, in Middletown. He was also a lifelong farmer.

As a sergeant in the U.S. Army Air Corps, he served in the Indo-China theater during WWll.

He was the husband of Alice M. (Weigle) Breighner, who departed this life in 1991, and is survived by two daughters: Shirley E. Pannell of Lancaster and Barbara A. (Breighner) MacDonald of Lancaster; one son, Robert O. Breighner of York Springs; two sisters: Edna Breighner and Doreen Weigle, both of Gardners, and six grandchildren

He was also preceded in death by one brother, Tom Breighner, and stepmother Ida Howe Breighner.
