Linda, 61 of Clare, passed away suddenly and unexpectedly on Monday, July 15, 2013. She was born the daughter of Walter and Anita (Tack) Szczepanski.

Linda had lived in Clare for the past ten years, having moved from Houghton. Previously she had lived in Gladwin and Sterling Heights. She had worked in the Salon at the JCPenny's in Houghton prior to transferring to the Mt. Pleasant store where she had retired.

Following her retirement from JCPenny's Linda had worked the past 3 years at the Mood Makers Salon in Clare. She had volunteered her time at the Mid-Michigan Medical Center in Clare, as well as in the Youth Group at the Potters House Ministries, in Mt. Pleasant. Linda was an avid reader and gardener.

Linda is survived by her children Amy (Steven) Baldwin and Brian Ropp all of Virginia Beach, VA; her mother Anita Szczepanski of Clare; her sister Gail (Roger) Hitchcock of Lake Orion; grandchildren Hunter and Ashley and her loving cat Babes.

Linda was predeceased by her father, Walter and her brother, Dr. John Szczepanski.

A Celebration of Life gathering was held.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Clare County Pardee Cancer Treatment Fund, Clare, Michigan.

Arrangements were made through the Clare Chapel of Stephenson-Wyman Funeral Home.
