Cagney was my Grandma Irene's dog, she was half Llasa Apso and half pit bull and a silly little rascal. When she was 18 months, she won first prize in Novice Obedience in a class of nine dogs. She was my Grandma's constant companion and went everywhere with her. She had a cute little bounce when she walked and she made people smile, and she smiled back. She loved to mother little animals even though she never had pups herself. Her best animal friend was Muse, a Manx cat, who was her "nanny" and took care of her toward the end of her life. When it was time for her to go because she was growing old and in pain, she peacefully went to sleep, in my Grandma's arms, at the veterinarian's office who had once saved her life when she was only seven weeks old because she ate something poisonous. She was cremated and placed into a pyramid that has her picture on it. She is still very sorely missed.
