Bernice Marion Stulginskis was born in Kenosha, Wisconsin to Povilas (Paul) and Alexandria Jurevicz Stulginskis. They were Lithuanian immigrants who emigrated in 1900. Her Uncle Aleksandras Stulginskis was President of Lithuania in 1922-1926. She moved to Westville, Illinois as a child as her father worked in the coal mines. Her mother died when Bernice was only a teen ager and Bernice had to help raise her brothers and sister. Bernice was educated and taught school for many years. She taught at MacMillen school and then did substitute teaching after she retired. She had two children with Roy: Arlene and Kevin. She lived in the same house in Westville, IL for more than 45 years. She was a very kind and sweet soul.
