Doug was reported missing on May 22, 1974 when he was last seen getting into a car with two friends. His remains were found in Steven's Creek Park on June 2, 1974.
In November of 1990, a fellow Buscher High School graduate, would confess to the murder. He was a mail clerk at American Micro Systems.
He is survived by his parents, John and Myrna DeShera, of Santa Clara. Brother of Jan DeBault of San Jose and Gina and Susanne DeShera, John DeShera and Richard DeShera, all of Santa Clara.
