Evelyn J. (MacAuley)Brush, 83, of Capron Farm Drive, died Wednesday, June 26, 2013 at her home. She was the beloved wife of the late Douglas C. Brush (Ret. Captain, WPD).

She was born in Providence, a daughter of the late Herbert and Amelia G. MacAuley.

Mrs. Brush had been a long time resident of Warwick, previously living in Providence. She was a member of the Buttonwoods Gospel Chapel in Warwick, where she had been active for many years with her late husband. She was a member of the West Bay Christian Academy Assoc. in North Kingstown and was a foster mother for many years to many children.

She is survived by a son, William C. Brush and his wife, Sandra, of Port Orchard, WA; three daughters, Linda C. Hakala and her husband, William of New Ipswich, NH; Joanne Brinkerhoff and her husband, Steven, of Hartford City, IN; Karen Betham and her husband, Brian, of Lynchburg, VA; two brothers, Charles L. and Richard A. MacAuley; 15 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren.

Funeral service Saturday, June 29, at 11 am in the Buttonwoods Gospel Chapel, 311 Buttonwoods Ave., Warwick. Calling hours Friday 6-8 pm and Saturday 10-11 am in the Buttonwoods Chapel. Interment in the Quidnessett Cemetery, North Kingstown. In lieu of flowers, contributions to the West Bay Christian Academy, School Street, North Kingstown or to the Buttonwoods Gospel Chapel. Following the interment, Fellowship time in the West Bay Christian Academy.
