OBITUARY- CLINTON HERALD
CLINTON — Marian H. Van Doren, age 95, of Clinton, died Tuesday, February 7, 2012, at the Harmony House in Clinton. Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until 11 a.m. Friday, February 10th, at the Pape Funeral Home where services will be held at 11 a.m. Burial will be in Oakland Cemetery.

Marian was born in Savanna, Illinois, on June 29, 1916, the daughter of Emil and Anna (Muncke) Glastetter. She married Peter Van Doren on March 28, 1934, in Clinton. Peter passed away on February 4, 2002. Marian had been a homemaker. She enjoyed spending time in her garden, especially her tending her roses, cooking and baking and raising ducks and geese.

Marian is survived by three daughters, Reta Roe of Clinton, Lois Surber of Arcadia, FL, and Ellen Robinson of Rogers, AK; seven grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; several great-great-grandchildren; and her special friends, Dick and Corinne Seeser of Clinton.

She was preceded in death by her parents and twin sisters in infancy.
