Varner E. Boyd, 86, of Evansville, died Wednesday, June 29, 2005, at Good Samaritan.
He loved fishing and enjoyed watching old Westerns.
Varner is survived by his sister, Mary Gilbert; brother, Shirley Boyd; sister, Nettie Moore; nieces and nephews; nephew/caregiver, Jeff Moore; nephews, Mike Moore and Jerry Moore; nieces, Debbie Cox, Patty Moore, and Carolyn Davis.
Services 11:30 a.m. Friday, July 1, 2005, at Alexander West Chapel, with burial at Sunset Memorial Park Cemetery. The Vanderburgh County Retired Veterans Memorial Club will conduct military rites at the cemetery. Friends may call today, June 30 from 2 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
