Our loving mother and grandmother, Virginia Ellen Bloomquist King was born April 16, 1931, to Laurence Carl Bloomquist and Myrtle Louise Barnett Bloomquist, and passed away on June 22nd, 2013. Virginia married her sweetheart Marlon John King on June 2, 1954, later solemnized in the Salt Lake Temple. Virginia was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served for over 30 years in the Primary, including teacher, den mother and was also secretary of the deaf primary.
She loved flower arranging, doll restoration, cake decorating and crafts of every kind. She was a great dancer and everyone would wait for her and Marlon to come out on the dance floor. She had a great love for children, especially her own grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Virginia is survived by her four children, Trisha (Robert) Madsen, Dale (Kathy) King, Diane King, Ryan (Mary Alice) King; 10 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, brother, Richard; sisters, Grace and Sylvia; and her beloved spouse, Marlon.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, June 26, 2013, 1:00 p.m. at the Belview Ward, 300 E. 6300 S. Murray. Viewings will be held Tuesday, June 25th, 6-8 p.m. at Jenkins-Soffe Mortuary, 4760 South State Street, Murray, and Wednesday, 12-12:45 p.m. at the church prior to services.
