Convent PL, wife of Albert P. Torpey,
an employe of Precision
Valve Corp., and former foreman
at Alexander Smith Inc., died yesterday
at Harlem Valley State
Hospital, N.Y. after a five-month
illness.
A lifetime resident of Yonkers,
she was married to Mr. Torpey in
St. Anthony's Church on Willow
St. in 1917.
She was a communicant of the
Monastery Church of the Sacred
Heart.
Her son. Albert J. is a letter
carrier in Yonkers.
Also surviving are a daughter.
Mrs. Francis (Mary) Newman of
Yonkers, two brothers, William
Connors of Irvington, N.J. and
Thomas Connors of Yonkers; and
five grandchildren.
