Helene E. Olmstead, 66, of Cherry Valley Rd., Marcellus, died Thursday, June 8. She was a life resident of Marcellus. She formally worked for Camillus Cutlery and later was a nurse's aid 12 years with Clara-Mah Nursing Home in Marcellus. Mrs. Olmstead was a member of St. Francis Xavier Church. Surviving are her husband, Frank E. Olmstead; a son, Wayne D. Olmstead of Elbridge; a brother, Robert Reynolds of Montgomery; two sisters, Ruth DiCarlo of Skaneateles and Sally Gilmour of Marcellus; a great granddaughter; several nieces and nephews. Services were June 12 at Norris Funeral Home, Marcellus and in St. Francis Xavier Church, with the Rev. Jerome Katz officiating. Burial was in St. Francis Xavier Cemetery, Marcellus. Contributions may be made to the Marcellus Fire Department Ambulance Fund.
