James Milton BOWDRY, 77, of 2133 Crescent died at 7:30 a.m. Sunday at his home. Services were to be at 3 p.m. in the Elliott-Hamil Funeral Home Chapel of Faith, Highway 277.
The Rev. W. L. LITTLE, pastor of the First Christian Church of the Nazarene, will officiate. Burial will be in Elmwood Memorial Park.
Born Jan. 17, 1900 in Hunt County, he married Fay VIA on March 14, 1922, in Ardmore, Okla. They moved to Fisher County from Fannin in 1937. They moved to Abilene when he retired from farming in 1960. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Hamlin.
Survivors include his wife; two daughters, Mrs. W. R. JAMESON, 2133 Crescent and Mrs. Leslie WHITE of 742 Peak; a brother, Grady of Stamford; and two grandchildren, Mrs. Laura SAUNDERS, 2737 Clinton and Jim WHITE of San Antonio.
