US Congressman. Elected to represent Minnesota's 4th District in the United States House of Representatives, serving from 1959 to 1977. He also served as an International Representative for the Oil Chemical and Atomic Workers Union, Member of the Minnesota State House of Representatives from 1950 to 1958, and as a Delegate to the Democratic National Convention from Minnesota in 1960. Karth was a veteran of World War II, having served with the United States Army.
