Joanne (nee Serra) Madonia was born Sept. 23, 1923, in Terrasini, Palermo, Sicily, Italy. She joined her husband, Congetto, in Heaven May 8, 2013. She is survived by her daughters, Lucy (Mike) Macpherson and Cathy Madonia. She is also survived by her grandchildren, John (Amy) Luber and Deborah (Chris)Morelli; her great-grandchildren, Nick Morelli, Matthew Luber, Mike Morelli, Mark and Julia Luber. She is also survived by her brothers, Gaspare and Tom Serra, both of Buffalo, N.Y. Joanne has lived in Henderson since in 1993. Visitation will be 4-7 p.m. Thursday, May 16. Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday, May 17, both at Palm Mortuary, 800 S. Boulder Highway. Burial following, at Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 1900 Veterans Memorial Drive.
