SUMTER, SC - Therese Barbara Kuzcykowski, 77, died on Wednesday, Jan. 23, 2002, at her residence.

She was born in Steubenville, the daughter of the late George Kuczykoski and Rose Saluba Kuczykowski. She retired as a Master Sgt.from the U.S. Air Force with 26 years of service. She served in World War II, the Korean War, and Vietnam. She retired from Shaw Air Force Base as a secretary. She received a First Oak Leaf Commendation Medal for meritorious service as a Non Commissioned Officer in Charge and received a Second Oak Leaf Cluster for meritorious service as Assistant Chief of Publishing. She attended the University of Hawaii and the University of Colorado. She was a member of the St. Jude's Catholic Church of Sumter.

Surviving are one brother, John Kuczykowski and wife Dorothy of Wintersville; one sister, Ann Marie Tulenko and husband Joe Jr. of Weirton; six nephews, David Tulenko, Jerry Tulenk, Tom Tulenko, Joey Tulenko, Robert Tulenko, and Michael Marty; two nieces, Danielle Tulenko and Kristine Tulenko; and one great-nephew, Cross Tulenko.

She was preceded in death by four sisters, Josephine Batey, Victoria Carpenter, Clara Marty and Pearl Hornak, and two brothers, Chester Kuczykowski and Casmir Kuczykowski.

A funeral Mass will be held on Friday, Jan. 25 at 11 a.m. at St. Jude's Catholic Church in Sumter with Father Varady
officiating.

The family will receive friends, Sunday Jan. 27 from 7-9 p.m. at Mosti Funeral Home, 321 S. 4th Street in Steubenville.

A graveside service will be held on Monday in Mount Calvary Cemetery in Steubenmville with full military honors by the Ohio Valley Veterans Memorial Squad. Monsignor George Yontz will officiate.

Memorials may be made to St. Jude's Catholic Church of Sumter, SC.
