Richard W. Anderson 1954 ~ 2006 Richard W. Anderson of South Jordan passed away in his sleep October 20, 2006. He was born April 23, 1954 to Richard Burton Anderson and Nannette Anderson and raised in Holladay, Utah. He attended Olympus High School and went on to graduate from the University of Utah. He served an LDS Mission to England. Rich married his eternal companion, Jackie Lynn Tippetts October 15, 1979 in the Salt Lake Temple. Richard was a caring and loving husband and father who ceaselessly put his family and their needs before his own. He was a devoted and loving son and brother. He strived for excellence his entire life, being an example to all and a hero to many. Richard was an Eagle Scout and lifetime active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He served faithfully in many callings including scout master, young men's leader, and in the ward bishopric. Richard and Jackie have lived and raised their sons in South Jordan for the last 20 years. He is survived and loved by his wife, Jackie Anderson; and their three sons and daughters-in-law, Dirk and Marci Anderson, Douglas and Katie Anderson, and Trent Anderson. Richard is remembered, loved, missed, and admired by all who met him, including his sister, Kathy and Steve Pope; his brothers, Mark and Val Anderson, and Reid and Camille Anderson; his mother, Nanette Anderson; co-workers at Rocky Mtn. Power; ward members; neighbors; and friends. Preceded in death by his father, Richard Burton Anderson. We love you dearly, may you finally be free of pain. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, October 25th, 1 p.m. at the River Ridge 5th Ward Chapel, 10191 So. 1000 W. Friends may call Tuesday, October 24th from 6-8 p.m. at Jenkins-Soffe South Valley, 1007 W. South Jordan Pkwy. (10600 S.), and Wednesday one hour prior to the service at the church.
