THE DEATH OF MR. K. R. AMYZ HERE YESTERDAY
Mr. K. R. Amyx died Wednesday morning, January 12, at the Glasgow Infirmary. He was in his 65 year, and was son of K. R. and Serinia Jewell Amyx, deceased, who lived near Willow Shade, where he was born. Six years ago he moved to Savoyard. Four weeks ago he moved to Glasgow to be with is niece, Mrs. Lon Emmett.
Surviving are eight children – V. A. Amyx of Lindsey, Cali.; B. F. Amyz, Versailles Cal.; C. L., M. A., R. E. and Maggie Amyx, of Colorado Springs Colorado; A. D. of Lamardo*, New Mexico. One brother, L. M Amyx, of Frankfort, Ind. also survives. Mr. Amyx was a splendid man and citizen and his death is universally mourned.
No funeral arrangements have as yet been made.

1900 census has Melissa having 7 of 8 children living. Lizzie B. b. Jul 1883. Ruth was born July 26, 1884 according to her DC. On the 1910 census she is listed as Batie R. Could Lizzie and Ruth and Batie be the same person? I saw a family tree that has Elizabeth Boatwright Amyx with the birth date July 26, 1884. So I think this is the same person. *
