Charles Louis Lingar, 73, of Fourmile, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, April 30, 2013 at his home. He was born in Fourmile on June 5, 1939 a son of the late Charlie and Minnie Brock Lingar. He was of the Pentecostal Faith and was a retired coal miner of 30 years. He had volunteered as a teacher for the Hunter Safety Educational Program for adults and children. Louis was a member of the National Wildlife Turkey Federation.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, David Lingar, a daughter, Lisa Lingar Jones; sisters, Ersie Jean Webb and Shirley Lingar Lawson and brother, Charles Coley Simpson.

Survivors include his wife of 53 years, Maxine Gambrell Lingar, sons, Donald Ray Lingar and Reynold Perry Lingar of Fourmile; daughters and their husbands, Minnie Jean and Ronnie Smith of Fourmile, Janet and Frank Dell of Maryville, TN and Tina and Tim Partin of Pineville; son-in-law, Charles Jones; grandchildren, Donald Wayne Lingar, Allen Dewayne and Jody Lingar, Kimberly Jolene and Chad Davis; Charles Franklin Dell; Alex Anthony Jones; Derek Andrew Jones and Louise Lachelle Partin; great-grandchildren, Braxton Dewayne Lingar, Braiden Wesley Lingar; Hayden Aaron Lingar; Tyra Lingar; Jayden Carter Davis; Payton Isabella Davis and Tyson Lee Hughett; brothers, Lawrence and Dorothy Lingar, Donald Ray and Sandy Lingar and Ulis Lingar, all of Fourmile and Johnny and Pauline Lingar of Arjay; sisters, Mable and Don Sizemore of Pineville and Myrtle Collins of Fourmile and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and many friends and neighbors.

Services will be at 2:00 PM Friday at the Arnett & Steele Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. John Baird, Rev. Bill Engle, Rev. Arthur Jackson and Mr. Thomas Heck. Music will be by Jessica Fuson, Billy Baird, Mary Mercer, Dorothy Lingar and Laura Gray.

Burial will be in the Bain Cemetery at Fourmile. Pallbearers will be Ulis Ray Lingar, Sam Brown, Terry Collins, Jerry Collins, Charles Jones, Carson Gray, Steven Farmer and Ray Lawson. Honorary pallbearers will be Brent Wilder and Roger Wilder.

The family will receive friends from 6 until 9 PM Thursday at the Arnett & Steele Funeral Home and Cremation Center, Pineville, which is honored to serve the Lingar Family.
