Agnes was born September 1, 1919 in Roberts County, SD, near New Effington. She attended school in Roberts County and graduated from Oak Grove High School in Fargo, ND.
Agnes married Milton Haaland in New Effington, SD. She raised a family of seven boys and finally, one girl. Besides raising a large family, Agnes was very active in church. She worked as manager of a cafe in Wallace, SD and in Fargo, worked at Woolworth's, the Bowler and the VA Hospital as dietician.
Agnes will be missed by her loving family and many friends. She is survived by six sons; Milton Jr. (Margaret), Ray City, GA, James (Victoria), Dickinson, ND, Gary (Jan) Moorhead, Richard (Janice), Fargo, Ronald (JoAnn), Moorhead, Roger (Rose), Fargo; one sister, Joyce Muth, Britton, SD; 29 grandchildren, 29 great grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Milton, a son, Elroy, while on leave, during the Viet Nam War, making her a Gold Star Mother, a daughter, Amy and a grandson, Russell.
Visitation: Tuesday, from 4 to 6 in West Funeral Chapel, West Fargo, ND, with a prayer service at 6.
Funeral: Wednesday, January 19, 2011 at 11 in Our Savior Lutheran Church, Moorhead.
Burial: Horace (ND) Lutheran Cemetery.
