Hello. I have researched this person and feel he is actually Robert Britt Cooley, Fayette, Pa. There are two official docs which show Patrick or P. B. Cooley. There are two which show R. B. and Robert B. Cooley. Robert Britt Cooley's name has been mixed up in Civil War records. He is listed in four official documents as Patrick Cooley, P. B. Cooley, Robert B. Cooley and R. B. Cooley. The 14th Pa. Cavalry, Co. F remains constant. See the next two sources which show R. B. and Robert B. Cooley: (1) U.S., Registers of Deaths of Volunteers, 1861-1865 about Robt B Cooley Name: Robt B Cooley Death Date: 18 Mar 1864 Death Place: Reb Prison Augusta, Georgia Enlistment State: Pennsylvania Rank: Private Company: F Regiment: 14 Penn Cav Box Number: 48. (2) U.S., Burial Registers, Military Posts and National Cemeteries, 1862-1960 about R B Cooley Name: R B Cooley Death Date: 18 Mar 1864 Burial Place: Georgia Cemetery: Marietta National Cemetery Grave Site: F-1020. I find neither a Patrick nor a Robert in the U. S. Cencus, although I continue to look. I have updated my great grand uncle's grave which was spelled incorrectly in one National Cemetery. I am confident it is Robert Britt Cooley as his grandmother was Hannah Britt. After reading my info, your call as to add any of this to your record. Thank you, James Edmundson.

20 Jun 2017 this F-A-G Memorial was changed from Patrick B. Cooley to Robert Britt Cooley.
