Son of Jermia (Jeremiah) and Rachel Weaver Boyer, he married Lottie Douglas, was a farmer, lived at R 2 Franklin, Sugarcreek Township, died there of myocarditis, per death certificate 8307, whose informant was Frank J. Boyer of RD 2 Franklin. Buried Jan 24 1941.

Lester Lewell "Lee" Boyer, 72, died at his home near White Temple School, Sugarcreek Township, Franklin RD 2, at 8 p.m. Wednesday January 22, 1941, after an illness of several weeks. He was born in Ashland Township, Clarion County, on January 31, 1869, son of Jeremiah and Rachel Weaver Boyer.

He lived there until 12 years old, had been a resident of Sugarcreek Township for the past 60 years, and was well known in that area. He was a farmer and teamster and a member of the Oakland Grange.

On July 28, 1893, he married Charlotte C. "Lottie" Douglass, who survives, with children, Mrs. Jennie May Griffin, Oil City; Frank James Boyer, of Franklin; and Lester E. Boyer, at home; brothers and sisters, Adelburt S. and Hamilton F. Boyer, Parkersburg, WV; Charles N. Boyer, New Castle; Martin D. and George M. Boyer, Rocky Grove; Mrs. Lucy Tingley, Pittsburgh Road, Franklin, and John F. Boyer of White Temple district; five grandchildren; and three great grandchildren.

The body was brought to the Buchanan Funeral Home where services will be held at 2:30 p.m. Friday with the Rev. Frank Towers, of the Rocky Grove Church of God, officiating, assisted by the Rev. W.D. Donaldson, pastor of the Vandergrift Church of God. Interment will be in Brandon Cemetery at Salina.

Funeral Services for Lester L. Boyer, who died Wednesday at his home near White Temple School in Sugarcreek Township, were conducted Friday afternoon in the Buchanan Funeral Home by the Rev. Frank A. Towers, pastor of the Rocky Grove Church of God and the Rev. W.D. Donaldson, pastor of the Vandergrift Church of God. The ministers read the Hymns, "Jesus, Savior, Pilot Me" and "Sometime We'll Understand" and the poem "Crossing the Bar." Interment was in the Brandon Cemetery at Salina and the pallbearers were A.C. Peterson, Joseph A. McElhaney, P.L. Runninger, George Domres, Arthur Sherlock and Domer Carter. Among those from out of the city who attended the services were Charles N. Boyer and family and C.C. Altman, of New Castle; Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Hannell and Mrs. Alton Griffin, of Oil City and Mr. and Mrs. Glenn Boyer, of Erie.
