Born on 26 Sep 1896 to Conway Peyton Bloxton and Georgia Belle Stanford. He passed away on 13 Sep 1968 in Georgia.

He married Leland Butler, born Kentucky, 1898, and they had two daughters: Mary Virginia Bloxton (Mrs. Carl Deane English) 1923-2004 & June Louise Bloxton Terrell Dever, both born Frankfort, KY.

Graveside services for Conway Russell Bloxton of 1807 North Rock Springs Road NE will be held Sunday at 4 p.m. at Arlington Cemetery, with Dr. James P. Wesberry and the Rev. Chilton F. Thorington officiating. Mr. Bloxton, 71, died Friday at a private hospital. He was retired from the U.S. Corps of Engineers. A graduate of Virginia Polytechnic Institute, he served as a second lieutenant with the Army Corps of Engineers in World War I. He was a member of Tau Beta Phi II and the American Society of Civil Engineers. He had lived in Atlanta for 33 years and was a native of Calverton, Virginia. Surviving are his widow, the former Leland Butler; daughters, Mrs. June Terrell of Atlanta and Mrs. Mary English of Anderson, SC; brother, Clyde Bloxton of Kennewick, WA; sister, Mrs. Belle Hunter of McLean, VA; and two grandchildren.

Their family appears on the April 3, 1940 census for Atlanta, Peach Tree Hills, Militia District 1362, Fulton County, Georgia at 1807 N. Rock Springs Road (they lived in Frankfort, KY, in 1935). Conway Russell (44) C-4, was a Civil Engineer in the Steel industry; Leland Butler (42) C-4, and their daughters, Mary V. (16) H-3 & June L. Bloxton (14) H-1 lived together.

They all appear on the 1930 census: CR (33), Leland (32), Mary (6) & June (4).

In 1917, as a Junior '18, he was a member of the Maury Literary Society.

Mrs. Mary Virginia Bloxton English died December 9, 2004 in Anderson, SC. She was born in Frankfort, KY in 1923. Her mother was Leland Butler Bloxton, and her father was Conway Russell Bloxton, oldest son of Conway Peyton Bloxton and Georgia Belle Stanford Bloxton.

Mary was a graduate of North Fulton High School and Agnes Scott College and earned her Master's in Religious Education at Louisville, KY. She married Dr. Carl Deane English, retired at her passing from Anderson Baptist College. Their daughter, Carla, predeceased her mother. Mary taught Sunday School at Boulevard Baptist Church and served as devotion chairman for Mimosa Garden Club for 20 years. She was truly a renaissance woman--teaching piano, studying painting, ceramics and tailoring her clothes. She was an excellent cook. Her sister, June Louise Bloxton Terrell Dever of Atlanta, GA (well-known portrait painter of over 6,000 portraits), published the devotionals in a book. Mary and June traveled extensively in Europe with the help of a wheel chair. Mary toured Eastern Europe while it was still under communist domination. She was a beautifull, spiritual woman who loved the Lord. The McDougald Funeral Home, Anderson, SC was in charge of arrangements.
