Jacksonville, Ill., March 12.--Mrs. Charles Brown, who has been ill for five weeks at her home in Roodhouse, died here last night at Passavant hospital, where she had been conveyed for the purpose of an operation for peritonitis. Her condition was so weakened that she died almost the moment she reached the hospital.
Her maiden name was Ardella Farmer and she was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Samuel Farmer, who reside in the Prentice neighborhood, born Feb. 25, 1887. On June 14, 1905 she was married to Charles Brown of Prentice and after a few months residence in Ashland they moved to Roodhouse, where they have since resided. She is survived by her husband, one daughter Colletta, her parents, also two sisters, Miss Frances Farmer and Mrs. George Flynn, both of the Prentice neighborhood. The funeral services will take place Wednesday from the residence at 12 o'clock, in charge of the Rev. C. E.
