Gertie was the daughter of Albert A. Taylor and his wife, Sarah Angeline Rhoten who came to Oklahoma prior to statehood and settled in the Bluejacket area. Gertie was a wonderful person, daughter, wife and mother to her eight children. She had a goiter in her throat which caused her death. None of her grandchildren got to know her because of her young death, but we learned how much she loved through all of her children.
