News was received here last Saturday of the death of Mrs. Eliza R. Jenison. Deceased died on April 27th, at the home of her son, Leslie Paige, at Sparta, Kent county, Michigan. She was nearly 64 years old and had poor health for some time. She was the daughter of James and Anna Richards, and was born in the town of Orangeville this county, and has lived most of the time at Johnsonburg and at Rock Glen. She was married in early life to Wilbur Paige, who died 22 years ago. She married to Rueben Jenison Jan. 3, 1883. He died Feb. 20, 1890. He health being poor she went home with her son to live last November. She leaves besides her son a sister, Mrs. Jeffrey Thomas of Varysburg, and two brothers, Elon Richards of Rock Glen and Anson Richards of California, to mourn her loss. Early in life she embraced religion and became identified with the Methodist church and lived a consistent christian life.
