Helen Evelyn McMurtrie, 96, died Wednesday, October 8, 2008 at the Montesano Health and Rehabilitation Center. She was born April 17,
1912 in Astoria, Oregon to Edward and Anna Jacobsen. She grew up in the South Bend, Raymond and Seattle Areas.
Evelyn worked in a retirement home in Kenmore for many years. She was a memberof the United Methodist Church in Raymond since the early 1980's. Evelyn enjoyed many activities at the Alder House and at the Montesano Health and Rehab center.
She is survived by a niece Paula Lopez (Carlos) and family. Evelyn was preceded in death by a sister.

1:00 pm, Sunday October 19, 2008, at the
Fern Hill Cemetery in Menlo, Washington.
