Kathleen L. (Pritchett) Earp, 69, lifetime Jay resident, died peacefully at home early Saturday morning April 6, 2013, with her family by her side.

She was born on September 24, 1943 in Jay, Oklahoma to her parents Harry and Verna Lee (Duncan) Pritchett.

Growing up she attended Jay Schools. She married the love of her life, Gary Earp, on August 28, 1967 in Miami, Oklahoma. They celebrated 44 years of marriage until his passing in September 2011.

Kathy was a lifetime member of the Mt. Hermon Church. She was a wonderful cook, always caring for her loved ones. Her ‘command post' was her kitchen table, anytime someone needed to talk; Kathy was always there to listen.

Kathy loved animals, loved to read. She was extremely proud of her Cherokee heritage and always had a way making people feel special. She loved and spoiled her kids and grandkids. Kathy always made sure the graves were decorated for the holidays at Mt. Hermon cemetery.

She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Gary; brother, Michael Pritchett.

Kathy leaves many loving memories with her family, son, Johnnie Earp and wife Lisa; grandsons, Jordan and Jacob Earp all of Jay; brothers, Ron Pritchett, of Broken Arrow, Kevin Pritchett and wife Judy, of Pryor; sister Denise Fagan and husband Michael of Broken Arrow; brother in law, Jim Earp and wife Betty of Jay, OK; sister-in-law, Linda Cox and husband Cecil of Newcastle, OK; nieces and nephews, Jason Pritchett, Bridgette Mercer, Catherine Lewis, Connie Wilson, Michael Fagan II, Kevin Pritchett Jr., Chris Cox, Jason Cox, Kimberly Frost, Kisha Cox, Jamie Earp, Justin Earp, Jana Haynes, and 19 great nieces and nephews and many other loving relatives and numerous friends.

Visitation will be 6:00 PM-8:00 PM Monday evening at Worley-Luginbuel Funeral Home.

Services celebrating Kathy's life will be 2:00 PM Tuesday April 8, 2013 at Mt. Hermon Church. Pastor Brandon McCombs and Pastor David Fensler will be officiating.

Walora Kingfisher and Chris Cox will be singing. Interment will follow at Mt. Hermon Cemetery.

Casket Bearers will be Jamie Earp, Jud Earp, Michael Fagan II, Kevin Pritchett Jr., Matt Haynes, Kevin Wilson, Brandon Mercer, and Jason Cox. Honorary bearers will be Chris Cox, and Ben Thomas.
