Dr. Harvey Saxon Leonard

Dr. Harvey Saxon Leonard, 66, died at Tyler Holmes Hospital Monday, February 9. Dr. Leonard was a native of Coffeeville, the son of the late Harvey S. and Grace Saxon Leonard. He graduated from Riverside Preparatory School in Gainesville, Ga., was a graduate of the University of Mississippi and received his dental degree at University of Louisville School of Dentistry in Louisville, Kentucky. Dr. Leonard began his dental practice in Winona in 1937 and married the former Rae Farris in 1940. He was an elder in the Winona Presbyterian Church.

Dr. Leonard is survived by his wife, Mrs. Rae Leonard of Winona; his son, Clark Leonard of Richmond, Virginia.

Funeral services were conducted by Rev. Claude Gamble of Vaiden at Lee Funeral Chapel at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, February 12. Burial was in Coffeeville Cemetery in charge of Lee Funeral Home.

Pallbearers were Guy W. Hester, Billy Scruggs, J. H. Simpson, W. H. Simpson, James E. Brister and Guy Oliver. Honorary pallbearers were Bob Walker and Allen Holliman.
