Sylvia May Aboot, 67 of 530 North 3rd Street, Centerville, died Wednesday night, July 7, 1976, in St. Joseph Hosptial, following a lengthy illness.
Born October 7, 1908, in Centerville, she was the daughter of Martin Van Buren and Lilly Blanche Roby Clemens. She was married to Noah Lawson October 27, 1924, and he preceded her in death in 1945. She was married to Ted Abbott August 18, 1956, and he preceded her in death in 1965. She was also preceded in death by her parents, one brother and one sister.
Surviving are three three step children, Mrs. Dean Glascock, Cincinnati; Mrs. Ed Boone, Washington; and Mrs. Dean Butler, Seymour; and ten brothers and sisters, LeRoy Clemens, Arvil Clemens and Mrs. Lester Perry all of Des Moines; Mrs. Fred Jones, Mrs. Frank Peel, Richard Clemens and Mrs. Charles Cline, all of Centerville; Dorothy Adler and Virginia Clark, Mystic; and Charles Clemens, Ankeny.
Services will be Saturday, 1:30 p.m., at Johnson Funeral Home, with the Rev. Eugene Maddox officiating. Burial will be in Oakland Cemetery.
Family Visitation will be from 7 to 8 p.m. Friday.
