Abigail "Abbie" was the daughter of Isaac Bradeen of Waterboro, Oxford County, Maine and Philena Celestia Billington Bradeen of Phillips, Franklin County, Maine. Philena and Isaac were married on 17 November 1842 in Byron, Oxford County, Maine. Philena and Isaac had ten children. They were: Ellen Roseltha Bradeen was born on 26 January 1843; Adelbert Bradeen was born on 18 July 1845; Thomas Jefferson Parker Bradeen was born on 28 June 1847; Abigail Frances "Abbie" Bradeen was born on 24 May 1850; John Norris Bradeen was born on 19 December 1852; Seth Billington Bradeen was born on 27 February 1855; Daniel Cory Bradeen was born on 07 March 1857; Allen Woodbry Bradeen was born on 24 February 1859; William Leavitt Bradeen was born on 05 January 1862; and Hannah Jedidah Bradeen was born on 13 November 1865. All the children were born in Byron, Oxford County, Maine.
