Olga B. Olson was born April 25, 1885 in Dickey County, ND to Norwegian immigrant parents. Her father was Ole, and appears in the 1900 Census as a 51-year-old farmer in Dickey County, but there is no entry for her mother. In 1906, Olga married Severin Edland, and the two had at least nine children together, living in tiny towns in southern ND and eastern SD. They finally landed in the booming metropolis of Arlington sometime between 1930 and 1935, and Severin lived there until his death in 1960. Olga lived another 10 years after that, dying Oct. 1, 1970, at the age of 85.
