Ella Middleton Adkins, 84, of Olive Hill, passed away at the King's Daughters' Medical Center in Ashland.

Mrs. Adkins was born in Carter County, a daughter of the late Robert L. and Ann Stevens Middleton.

She was a homemaker and of the Baptist faith.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Ottis Adkins; two children, Glendal Adkins and Raymond Adkins; one brother, Arnold Middleton; one grand­son, whom she raised, Raymond Adkins Jr; four broth­ers-in-law, Wallace Adkins, Ray Clark, Roy Offill, and Lloyd Adkins; one sister-in-law, Gaythel Middleton Walker.

Surviving are two sons, Vernon Adkins and wife Jane Ann of Olive Hill, Wallace "Dee" Adkins of Olive Hill; one daughter, Ila Jean Rose and husband, Jerry, of Olive Hill; three brothers, Lloyd Middleton and wife Althea of Olive Hill, Earl Gene Middleton and wife Esther of Olive Hill, and Cledith Middleton and wife, Helen, of Olive Hill; six sisters, Ola Reynolds and husband Clifford of Olive Hill, Nola Clark of Olive Hill, Monnie Mabry and husband Wayne of Olive Hill, Sellar Offill of Alliance, Ohio, Minnie Barker and husband Vernon of New Washington, Ohio; 12 grand­children; and 19 great-grand­children.
