She had four siblings: Annie "Florence" Deel McGaugh, Avery Emmett Deel, Lindsey Graves Deel and Ollie Ivan Deel.
Her paternal grandparents were George Washington Deel and Florence Emaline "Galley" Brookshire and her maternal grandparents were Perry S. Sargent and Julia A. Hyatt.
Her paternal great grandparents were Peter Abraham Deel, III and Isabella Serena Duff.
She married Willie Levi "Bill" Robinson on Saturday, November 12, 1927 in Big Spring, Texas. He preceded her in death on January 21, 1974.
Bertie was blessed with nine sons: Billy Ray Robinson, John Emmit Robinson, Jerry Don Robinson, James Wesley Robinson, Kenneth Wayne Robinson, Richard Glenn Robinson, Loren Eugene Robinson, Gary Lynn Robinson and Melvin Robinson and seven daughters: Viola Robinson Hillger, Bertie Mae Robinson Wooten, Deanie Robinson Craft, Mary Robinson Hillger, Rebecca Sue Robinson Hale, Betty Irene Robinson Davis and Deborah Robinson Sandoval.
At the time of her passing Bertie had 33 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren.
She died on Thursday, January 21, 1982 at 8:25pm. She was 70 years old.
My Aunt Bertie and her husband had a farm outside of Garden City, Texas. I always loved to go and visit them there. There is no better place for a kid to be than on a farm or ranch. Most of what we would eat at their dinner table came from what was raised or grown on the farm. It was at their farm that I milked my first and last cow!
