Clarence Elvin Bair passed away peacefully from natural causes at Comfort Cottage Assisted Living Facility, in St. George, UT, Sunday evening, April 22, 2012. He was 101 years old. He was born August 22, 1910 in Topeka, Kansas.

He married the love of his life, beautiful Mary "LaPriel" Healey, on April 21, 1934, in Alpine, UT.

Clarence was preceded in death by his loving wife, Mary LaPriel Healey-Bair, his daughter, Marilyn Bair, and grandson, Wayne Churchill.

He is survived by his children, M. JoAnne Bair, Douglas C. Bair, and Richard E. Bair.

Clarence and LaPriel also raised four of their grandchildren as their own. Donald, Wayne, Richard Churchill and Vickie Churchill Oppelt.

Clarence and LaPriel have 12 grandchildren, 31 great grandchildren, and 10 great-great grandchildren. Everyone who knew him loved him, probably because they could tell he loved them as he treated them with kindness and respect.

Clarence worked in California for Western Exterminator for 35 years. He has held many positions in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, including Scout Master, Stake High Counsel, and Bishop, to name a few. Taking the scouts on camping trips was a favorite of his. The people in their ward loved them so much that they nicknamed them "Papa and Mama Bair" After moving to American Fork, they served the Lord as temple workers in the Provo Temple.

Viewing will be held on Saturday April 28, 2012 at 12:00-1:45PM and Funeral Services at 2:00PM at the LDS Church, 100 East 300 North, American Fork, UT.
