Funeral services will be Thursday at 3:30 p.m. at Crestwood Chapel for Mrs. Catherine Lovvorn "Kat" Kilgore, 67, Fairview Road, Rt. 8, who died Tuesday, February 9, 1988. Burial will be in Crestwood Cemetery. Crestwood Funeral Home is in charge.

Mrs. Kilgore was a lifelong resident of Etowah County. She was preceded in death by her parents, Bob and Pearl Lovvorn, and her husband, Dewey W. "Hammer" Kilgore. Mrs. Kilgore was a member of Trinity Baptist Church.

She is survived by three sons, Johnny W. Kilgore, Boaz; Kenneth R. Kilgore, Gadsden; Robert L. Kilgore, Birmingham; one daughter, Janice E. Gladden, Gadsden; three daughters-in-law, Melanie Kilgore, Boaz, Sabrina Kilgore, Gadsden, Beth Kilgore, Birmingham; four grandsons, Kevin and Jason Gladden, Chris and Jeff Kilgore; four sisters, Mrs. Veo Pope, Mrs. Mae Frix, Mrs. Dorothy Story, all of Gadsden, Mrs. Lois Hicks, Morgan City and several nieces and nephews.
